NEW ASPHALT THAT SOLVES THE PROBLEM YOU STARTED WITH

If the parking area is too small or the old pavement keeps breaking apart, new asphalt can change how much use you get from the space. The important decision is what needs to happen beneath that finished surface.

Tri County Asphalt installs and renews pavement for commercial properties and homes across the Central Valley. Our services include new paving, milling and grinding, overlays, patching, and removal and replacement.

Tell us what you want the area to do. We will assess the existing condition, account for the vehicles using it and describe the preparation and paving in your estimate.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT APPROACH TO YOUR ASPHALT PROJECT

NEW ASPHALT PAVING

For an unpaved area, expansion or new driveway, the work begins below the finished surface. The ground needs the right shape and support for the vehicles using it. We plan preparation, base work and paving together so the new area connects properly to the rest of your property.

MILLING AND GRINDING

Milling removes asphalt to create room for new material or improve the transition to adjoining surfaces. It can matter near curbs, entrances and garage thresholds, where adding height without preparation would create a problem. We identify the milling needed as part of the paving plan.

ASPHALT OVERLAYS

An overlay adds a new layer of asphalt over existing pavement that can support it. It can be an alternative to complete removal when the underlying pavement is in adequate condition. Failed sections, drainage and finished heights must be addressed so old problems are not simply covered.

REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

When pavement has failed too extensively for an overlay, removing it allows the damaged area to be rebuilt. This gives us access to the underlying material where repairs are needed. Replacement may apply to the entire area or selected sections.

For smaller damaged areas, our asphalt repair service may be the better starting point.

THE SURFACE MUST SUIT THE TRAFFIC

A residential driveway and a commercial loading area do different jobs. Tell us about delivery trucks, regular turning, RV parking or other uses that affect the work. We account for those needs when evaluating the pavement and preparation.

For a business, the project also has to fit customer entrances and vehicle movement. Visit parking lot paving for that process. For a home, our driveway paving page covers entrances, additional parking and everyday access.

PREPARATION IS WHERE LONG TERM VALUE BEGINS

A smooth top layer cannot make up for unstable ground or water collecting beneath it. We look at the existing surface, drainage and connections before recommending the work.

Our grading and site preparation services support that process. Your proposal identifies the preparation included, so you can see what is being built underneath the appearance you are paying for.

KNOW WHAT YOUR PAVING ESTIMATE INCLUDES

The area, material thickness, removal, base repairs and access can all affect cost. Two projects with the same square footage can require very different work.

We explain the recommended approach and the areas covered. If you are comparing bids, use the full work description rather than the price per square foot alone. Our paving cost guide walks through the main differences.

BEFORE PAVING DAY

We discuss access, vehicle removal and the sequence of work with you. The plan should account for the areas you need to reach and the people who need notice.

After placement, follow the reopening and care instructions for your project. Weather, materials and the type of traffic affect when a new surface should be used. We will address those details with you rather than ask you to rely on a general online timetable.
